German-Franco culture TV channel ARTE are asking fans to vote for who they think is the ultimate Queen of Pop!

Fans have a choice to vote for a singer from each decade - Madonna can be found in the 80's.

At the end of the vote the channel will show 10 documentaries of 10 winners - and then they will have a big show at the end where you can vote for the ulimate winner.

Madonna to buy stake in London nightclub?
Madonna has been in negotiations to buy a stake in a London nightclub Aura Mayfair.
The pop superstar met with Malaysian entrepreneur Tony Fernandes to discuss buying a stake in his company, The Aura Group, which owns several nightspots including Aura Mayfair.
An associate of the singer told The Daily Telegraph newspaper: 'Madonna sees it as a natural move. She has ambitious plans.'
The 'Material Girl' hitmaker is a regular visitor to the exclusive club - which is owned by Fernandes, events and motorsport entrepreneur Jonny Dodge and Supper Club proprietor Alberto Barbieri - and is believed to be keen to put her own influence into the venue.
If Madonna does become a stakeholder in Aura she will be able to count her ex-husband Guy Ritchie as a business rival as he owns The Punchbowl pub in the exclusive area of the city.

Madonna searching for a new Material Girl
Madonna is seeking a new model for her clothing line.
The 52-year-old singer launched her Material Girl range - which is aimed at teenage girls - last year with 'Gossip Girl' star Taylor Momsen promoting the brand but, according to a posting on the company's official website, Madonna is looking for a new ambassador.
Next to a picture of 17-year-old Taylor an advert proclaims. 'Desperately seeking Material Girl'.
It goes on to add, 'Living in a material world and we need material girls. Looking for the hottest girl on the scene, she is never afraid'.
The posting encourages visitors to the site to vote for who they think should become the next face of the collection.
Madonna worked on the Material Girl line with her 14-year-old daughter Lourdes and admitted the youngster brought much of her own personal style to the collection.
She revealed: 'I think this line is absolutely an extension of her taste. We like to combine a plaid or a flannel with a lace or leather with lace or rhinestones. So we mix and match textures and fabrics and elements that are both masculine and feminine.'

Blond Ambition Tour DVD to be released this year?

UK celebrity columnist Dean Piper at the Mirror posts the following:

For Madonna fans it's the closest thing to the Holy Grail – and it's coming our way soon.
The notorious Blond Ambition world tour – arguably her best – is set to be released on DVD.
My source tells me: "It'll be later in the year – the wheels are in motion."

A DVD for this show has been rumoured for ages, so we ask the fans to take this with a grain of salt, but it does seem like a possible scenario to release an old show for the fans during this calm period, to tide us over. The Blond Ambition Tour is also famous for its Laserdisc-exclusive deal that supposedly halted any release on other formats for many years. The Laserdisc, which won a Grammy, contains the last show of the tour, filmed in Nice, France, which was also broadcast on HBO and in our opinion, if a DVD of this tour would be released, it most likely would be the Laserdisc transfer.

In Gaga, we still see someone trying to be Madonna in everything she does with a total lack of authenticity.

Lady Gaga is overprotected by the American press, because she’s posing as an advocate for the gay community, to the point where it’s almost unthinkable to even dare say something negative about her. However, by putting the “queen” label on all the gays, she reduces a whole diverse population to inacceptable stereotypes.

Madonna’s support of the gay community during the 80′s and 90′s, was heavily criticized by the press. In times when AIDS was mostly affecting homosexual males, it was pretty risky to openly admit that ‘seeing two guys kiss is sexy’.
Today, supporting the gay community is almost a new trend and Lady Gaga is making excellent use of it to promote her career. Just look at how Billboard describes “Born this Way” as the most pro-LGBT kind of track…
Lady Gaga’s pop music is even portrayed as pure art, even though Madonna, her source of inspiration, is still being bashed by the press all over the world…
We’re kind of getting tired by seeing Lady Gaga “borrowing” a whole heritage and claiming it as her own, without any repercussions.
